3D Design & Rendering
2025 - New Jersey
A residential neighbourhood development requiring photorealistic aerial and street-level renders to convey neighbourhood character, landscaping, and architectural detail

The Surfside Project involved creating detailed 3D visualizations for a residential home addition and exterior renovation in Ocean City, New Jersey. The goal was to help the homeowner clearly visualize the proposed design changes before construction began.
Using architectural plans and site information, Evolution Drafting produced high-quality 3D renderings that illustrate how the new addition integrates with the existing structure and surrounding neighborhood.
The final deliverables included a contextual aerial rendering and a front elevation rendering, allowing the client to view the project from both a street perspective and an overhead neighborhood perspective.
Project highlights:
Project Type: Residential Home Addition & Remodel
Location: Ocean City, NJ
Building Style: Coastal Ranch
Total Project Size: Approximately 2,700 sq. ft. including porch addition

3D Deliverables: Aerial Context Render + Front Elevation Render
The Design Challenge
The homeowner planned to expand a 103-year-old coastal home by building a two-story addition extending toward the front of the property. The addition would introduce a large great room, potential bedroom space, and a new front porch while maintaining the architectural character of the existing structure.

Because the home sits within an established neighborhood with closely spaced houses, it was important to understand:
How the new structure would look from the street
How the addition would relate to neighboring homes
How the elevated foundation and stair access would appear visually
How the front porch and rooflines would integrate with the existing house
Traditional 2D construction drawings alone can make it difficult for homeowners to fully visualize these changes.
Our Solution
Evolution Drafting created a fully modeled 3D representation of the property and surrounding neighborhood context based on the project’s architectural plans and site survey.
This allowed the client to see the addition in realistic scale and perspective before construction began.
Key elements modeled in the renderings included:
The two-story home addition
Elevated structure and garage/storage area below
A 10 ft x 30 ft front porch connected to the new living space

Exterior siding, rooflines, and trim details
Exterior stairs and entry sequence
Surrounding homes and landscaping to create accurate neighborhood context
By placing the design within a realistic environment, the renderings helped the client visualize the project as if it were already built.
Final 3D Renderings
Aerial Context Rendering

This aerial view shows how the new addition integrates into the surrounding neighborhood. The perspective helps communicate scale, rooflines, and the relationship between the new structure and adjacent homes.
Front Exterior Rendering

The front perspective highlights the new porch, elevated stair entry, and exterior design elements. This view allows the homeowner to clearly understand how the home will appear from the street once construction is complete.
Project Outcome
The final 3D renderings gave the homeowner a clear visual understanding of how the new addition would look within the existing neighborhood and how the exterior elements would come together.
With these visualizations, the client was able to:
Confidently review and approve the proposed design
Better understand the scale and appearance of the addition
Communicate the design vision more clearly during the planning process
3D visualization provided an important step between concept drawings and construction, helping bring the project to life before building begins.
