Project Overview
The Desert Grove Pavilion is a conceptual commercial project designed as a flexible multi-use space centered around a plant nursery and community retail environment.
Evolution Drafting was engaged to develop a conceptual building layout and a series of visualization images to help bring the early design vision to life. The goal of the project was to explore the architectural form, spatial layout, and visual character of a modern commercial building that could support a nursery operation while also allowing for additional retail or business spaces in the future.
The final deliverables included conceptual plans, elevations, and multiple perspective renderings to illustrate how the building could function within a desert landscape setting.
Project highlights:
Project Type: Commercial Concept Design
Primary Use: Multi-use retail space with nursery
Architecture Style: Modern desert contemporary
Key Features: Central glass atrium, expansive storefront glazing, landscaped pedestrian approach
Deliverables: Concept floor plan, architectural views, and visualization images
Design Vision
The client envisioned a modern, welcoming commercial structure that could serve as a destination for both plant nursery customers and future retail tenants.
The concept focused on creating a building that feels open and inviting while still maintaining a strong architectural identity.
Key design ideas included:
A central curved glass entry pavilion acting as the main focal point of the building
Large glass storefronts allowing natural light and strong interior visibility
Multiple building wings that can accommodate different commercial uses
A flexible interior layout that could evolve as the business grows
Desert-appropriate landscaping integrated into the site design
The result is a structure that blends modern architecture with a landscape-driven environment.
